Davichi and T-ara First first Collaboration Digital Single We Were In Love

Davichi and T-ara First first Collaboration Digital Single We Were In Love

We Were In Love (우리 사랑했잖아) is Davichi’s and T-ara first collaboration digital single. Although the single was credited to T-ara only So Yeon, Ji Yeon, Hyo Min and Hwa Young participated.

“We Were in Love” represents T-ara and Davichi’s small little gift to the year 2011, the year that gave so much to them both. It stands as both the strongest example of CCM’s ballad style, and a useful blueprint for where the style could grow in the future.

This was their first joint single, however the two groups collaborated in the past with SeeYa for the release of “Yeoseong Shidae / Yeongwonhan Sarang” and “Wonder Woman” singles.

Single : We Were In Love (우리 사랑했잖아)

“I Am a Singer” Indie Daydream, Part 7: Reader’s Choice Results and Conclusion

Category: Korean Music — Tags: , , , , , , , – Admin @ 2:47 am

나는 가수다

And we’re back with the results of Indieful ROK’s “I Am a Singer” Indie Daydream Reader’s Choice Poll!

On “I Am a Singer”, the audience of five hundred normally votes for their three favorite performances of the night. On Indieful ROK, our humble audience of seven voted for their three favorite indie artists they wanted to see take the “I Am a Singer” stage.

Due to the low voter turnout, the results ended up with many ties in the rankings, but there was a clear first place winner among the bunch, although only by one vote.

For our final commentary, Anna has joined me in looking at the results.

The Results

Without further ado, here are the results of your Reader’s Choice Poll for “I Am a Singer” Indie Daydream:

1st Place
Huckleberry Finn

rd: I was actually a little surprised that Huckleberry Finn took a decisive lead. While Lee Soyoung’s husky voice might not work on the show if Juckwoo is still there, but Lee has an intense ferocity that I feel would work well on the show. I am a little concerned that the group might fall into a stylistic rut, but that doesn’t seem to have stopped Kim Kyungho or Yoon Minsoo.

Anna: Although I didn’t vote for them myself, I’m very pleased to see Huckleberry Finn in this position. Lee Soyoung could show Juckwoo what to really do with a husky voice.

2nd Place
3rd Line Butterfly

rd: Wow! The other husky voiced once-singer of Huckleberry Finn is the second choice! I think this suggests that the IROK audience is really looking forwards to a powerful female vocalist on the show. Personally, I think 3rd Line Butterfly’s broader range of sound will enable them to handle the challenge of covers well, although I’ve yet to hear any covers from the band. Furthermore, they have a wilder musical identity, so they might be able to impress the audience with it.

Anna: While I personally would prefer to see Nahm Sang Ah alone, 3rd Line Butterfly is another good call. The latest EP was quite varied in style, so I think like rd that their range would prove a strength.

3rd Place
Cherry Filter & MOT (Tie)

rd: Our first tie of the evening has two very different bands. I think Cherry Filter will be able to fill a similar role that Kim Kyungho is filling on the show right now since their music does tend towards metal, but from their cover album and their more pop-oriented songs, I think they’ll have more breadth than Kim and it would be interesting to see if that’s the case. As for MOT, they might face the same difficulty of sounding too much the same every round. Now, I personally love their sound, but their style is so quiet and introspective that it might not win over the audience, which seems to prefer high drama and bombast.

Anna: Ah yes, the Kim Kyungho comparison is actually quite fitting for Cherry Filter even though I’ve always related them more to Jaurim myself. They should be able to offer a lot more variety than any of the artists currently on the show. And for Mot, I absolutely love them and their covers and would be very, very happy to see them on the show, but they do the very best when sticking to their core sound. Still, it’d be very interesting to see how they’d bre received by the audience.

5th Place
Yi Sung Yol (이승열)

rd: Yi Sung Yol is the only soloist to get more than one vote, but his rich voice and singing style should do well on the show. His sound is also a bit more mainstream so it will be more accessible to the audience, but distinct enough that it will be a unique addition to the show.

Anna: Besides Cherry Filter I’d think Yi Sung Yol would be the most realistic alternative out of those suggested. I haven’t quite managed to get into his solo stuff, but I did enjoy U&Me Blue a great deal before. I’ll keep hoping he’ll not only get on the show, but also stay there for the reasons already mentioned by rd.

6th Place
Nell, Han Heejung (한희정), Thomas Cook, & Kim Sarang (김사랑) (Tie)

rd: Every single artist on the poll got at least one vote, resulting in a four way tie for sixth place. No one gets eliminated! (Or perhaps they all do??) I’m actually most surprised that Nell didn’t secure first place since they were perhaps the most popular of the suggestions and the panelists’ picks, but sometimes the voting audience doesn’t feel the same and Nell might have just had a weaker night.

Conclusion

And that concludes Indieful ROK’s “I Am a Singer” Indie Daydream. We thank Widhi and The Korean for providing us their picks and everyone who participated in suggesting and voting for artists for our Reader’s Choice Poll.

At IROK, we will continue the lookout for indie activity on “I Am a Singer” and might bring back the series if someone from the scene appears to represent on the show. We definitely hope that perhaps one of the above voted upon bands or solo artists might be one to make it on the show.

Benefits Of Electronic Music In Society

Category: Uncategorized — Admin @ 4:17 pm

Electronica Music covers a wide variety of the usual electronic compositions. Advancements in technology have greatly contributed in all genres of music. Use of digital audio stations, synthesizers, computers, drum machines, sequencers and other electronic musical instruments has completely revolutionized styles used in composing songs. This has led to emergence of fusion genres that combine two or more genres in song composition.

Instrumentation

Better instruments for recording songs made it possible for potential musicians and group bands to produce electronic songs and albums without having to use facilities of established studios. Emerging computer technologies enabled individuals to access sampled beats and songs which provided basics in developing popular compositions. Such compositions that allowed experimentation and led to development of new genres were termed as electronica.

Everyone Does It

Electronica music can also be regarded as a fusion genre that merges two or more genres. This is because a wide range of musical acts and styles have used electronic sounds to produce fusion. Hip hop fusion resulted from use of electronically influenced sounds in producing songs. More appealing song versions of hip hop and R&B have been recorded by musicians who incorporate electronic sounds.

Remixing

From early 1990s to date, electronic sounds have been undergoing modification. This has been possible due to recent computer and sound synthesizer technologies. Audio workstations, drum machines, sequencers and other electronic musical instruments have continually contributed in the changing styles used in recording compositions. This has made it possible for potential song producers and individuals to generate sounds and beats of their interest.

Any Type Of Use

This genre of composition has been highly rated due to its popularity among youngsters. Teenagers like hanging out and mainly listen to this genre of composition using headphones and earphones. Changing styles and acts in mainstream compositions have been mainly attributed to use of modern beat maker software. Beat maker software enables an individual to create beats and songs of choice in small studios.

Evolving Sounds

In a wide variety of sounds and tracks recorded by famous artists throughout the world, electronically influenced sounds have played a significant role.hip hop performers have gained world recognition because of recording tracks and albums that essentially use electronic sounds. Electronically generated sounds are applied in hip hop and R&B rhythms to create fusions that fans enjoy listening to all the time. A new genre called Dubstep Music is proof of evolving sounds.

Electronic Dance Music (EDM)

Genres common in record stores such as jazz, techno, rap, hip hop among others mainly rely on production styles and techniques that originated from use of electronic musical instruments and associated technologies. Compositions of recognized electric artists have been used by famous mainstream musicians as background sounds in their songs. Such songs have taken hip hop musicians to great heights enabling them to make huge cash from highly attended concerts.

Apart from its application in dancing, Electronica has been applied in a broad range of uses. A significant number of television advertisements have electronically related sounds in their background. Alerting and other kinds of sounds in automobiles were initially generated electronically. Sound effects in video games are developed from highly recognized electronica soundtracks. With such and many more applications, people developed interest in electronically recorded compositions. I like Dubstep a lot. people use Ableton Live to create electronic music.

Variations Of Commercial Safety Rain Suits

Category: Uncategorized — Admin @ 7:07 pm

Many jobs require workers to be working outside, this means in any sort of weather conditions. Rain is a weather conditions that can be very dangerous on any job site and can lead to a worker getting sick as well. If workers are not provided with the proper protection they are risking their health and safety. Jobs that require individuals to work roadside are especially dangerous in rainy, wet conditions. This is why rain gear is very important. It protects the worker from the elements but can also offer visibility for oncoming motorists. Often times jobs that require workers to work outside during bad weather conditions are hourly positions and they do not offer sick time. This is why it is important to wear the proper commercial rain gear.

Waterproof Materials

Commercial rain gear is popular when it comes to heavy duty protection from the elements. In addition to offering protection the rain gear should be made from waterproof materials and have high breathability. The worker must be protected from the rain and water conditions, but should not be uncomfortable in the rain gear. There are varying kinds of rain gear depending upon the occupation. Firemen for example need protection from water, but also from fire. Therefore they need flame resistant gear as well. There are other occupations where the workers are not allowed on a job site without proper rain protection.

Hazardous Conditions

Roadside workers need to have added protection from the weather and oncoming traffic. It is very important that their rain gear feature high visibility aspects so that oncoming motorists are aware of their presence. Rain gear for roadside crews will often feature reflective strips as well as bright fluorescent colors alert motorists. These features will allow for maximum protection for the worker on the roadside crew.

Rain Jackets

Another type of protective rain gear are rain jackets. They are not the heavy duty commercialized version of rain gear, but in certain circumstances are all that’s needed. The jacket is supposed to keep the upper part o the body dry from rain or water. Depending on weather conditions the jacket can be lightweight or be heavily lined.

Rain Pants And Bibs

Rain bibs and pants are meant to keep the lower half of the body dry. They come in different styles and can be lined for cold climates as well. Many types of rain pants have elastic to help support the pants and keep them from falling under the rain coat. Rain bibs usually have suspenders attached to the pants and can be ideal to ensure no water comes in from under the rain coat. Rain bibs are ideal for those who may be working in different positions and moving around a lot during the day.

Rain Ponchos

Rain ponchos are perfect if someone may come into contact with rain but will probably only be exposed for short periods of time. Delivery personnel and even police officers spend much of their day in a vehicle where wearing a full set of bibs and a jacket would be cumbersome and uncomfortable. These occupations require something light weight that can be stowed easily, put on quickly and removed when not in use. A rain poncho is an ideal type of rain gear for these occupations. The ANSI safety vests also come in different colors and can also be highly visible if the job requires it.

Mississippi Ice Hockey

Category: Korean Books — Tags: , – Admin @ 11:34 am

Yes, we do have ice hockey in Mississippi (with real ice and everything).  In fact, we have two teams that compete in the SPHL, a lower-level minor hockey league.  Years ago, my friends and I would attend Mississippi Sea Wolves’ games in Biloxi, MS.  At that time, the Sea Wolves were coached by Bruce Boudreau, who now coaches the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks.  The Mississippi Sea Wolves were part of the East Coast Hockey League, but the team was dissolved in 2009.  In 2010, hockey came back to the coast with the formation of the Mississippi Surge.

JJ and I went to Biloxi on Sunday and were excited that we were going to be able to see an in-state match-up.  The Riverkings from north Mississippi made their way to Biloxi to do battle with the Surge.  We arrived about 15 minutes before they dropped the puck and were able to score excellent seats; we were right on the glass.  There were probably only 400 spectators, but the atmosphere was still exciting.  I have seen a number of games, but this was JJ’s first, and she got to see an excellent game with lots of action directly in front of us.  The Surge led most of the game, but the Riverkings tied it up with less than two minutes to play.  The overtime period was a special treat.  The overtime period in SPHL games lasts for only 5 minutes, but each team plays with only three skaters and a goalie.  Even though the Surge lost in the last minute of overtime, the game was great, and we both really enjoyed the fast pace of the three on three hockey.

Our tickets were each, but we could have had decent seats off the glass for around .  It was not NHL caliber hockey, but the players really battled to the end.  I was hoping that JJ would get to see a fight, but there were only a few skirmishes.  I think this is the first game that I attended that did not have at least one fight.  JJ did enjoy the game, and I just need to figure out how I can convince her that we need to travel to Nashville, Dallas, or St. Louis to see an NHL game.  Unfortunately, I don’t think we will be able to see any of those teams play for a ticket.

For more information about schedules and tickets, check out the Surge’s homepage here.

The Top Regions For Black Marlin Charters

Category: Uncategorized — Admin @ 1:55 am

The prized game fish, Makaira Indica, more commonly known as Black Marlin, is one of the world’s fastest fish. It reaches speeds of more than 50 miles per hour. Generally weighing in at 1700 pounds, or 750 kilograms, larger beasts have been reportedly caught by Black Marlin Charters. M. Indica is of the Perciformes order of fish and dwells in the coastal surface waters of the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

Greenpeace

Makaira and other genera are on Greenpeace’s seafood red list. What this means is that they are very likely to be drawn from unsustainable sources. This is why the modern sport fisherman will capture them humanely, photograph them for posterity and return them to the sea from whence they came. Genus Makaira is from the same family, Istiophoridae, as the Hawaiian Silver Marlin and the Japanese White.

Ernest Hemingway

In the novel, ‘The Old Man and the Sea’, written by Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961), old salt, Santiago, finally manages to break a 12-week dry spell by hooking a member of Makaira. The rest of the novel goes on to describe the hero’s legendary battle against the combined forces of the fierce, resolute beast and Mother Nature.

Fins

Strictly speaking, Makaira Indica is not black. It is dark blue and white. Only the rigid pectoral fins and the tail fins are black. It has a less rounded shape than its blue cousin and its ventral fins rarely exceed one foot long, regardless of how big the fish is. It prefers the warm, coastal waters of the tropics and the subtropics. Rarely, it has been seen to cross the Atlantic Ocean via the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa as far southwest as Brazil and northwest to the Lesser Antilles.

Fishing Tours

Some of the most popular tours for M. Indica cruise the waters of Australia’s east coast. Roughly 70 per cent of all Makaira larger than 1000 pounds in weight have been found along a 150-mile long section of the Great Barrier Reef located off the coast at Cairns. The combined hauls of Portugal, Brazil and Hawaii only amount to half this collective mass.

Game Fish

Brisbane’s Gold Coast is a favorite spot for light tackle enthusiasts seeking M. Indica as well as other game fish. Here fishermen can trawl for Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel and Mia Mia and others. Bottom fishers (‘jiggers’) gather to haul in Snapper, Peal Perch, Kingfish and Cobia.

Port Stephens

More than twice the size of Sydney Harbor, Port Stephens on Australia’s south west coast is a world class center for Black Marlin Fishing. With its breathtaking scenery, clear waters and golden, sandy beaches, it attracts other tourists as well. Tours from here operate between the months of January and April.
